Naturgy has obtained the ‘Platinum’ medal from the Ecovadis organisation, the highest rating of this sustainability rating agency, improving on the evaluations of the last two years in which it had been awarded the ‘Gold’ medal, the energy company reported.
Specifically, the company has achieved this recognition with a score of 75 points, improving eight points over last year, and ranking among the companies evaluated with the best score, strengthening the company’s commitment to sustainability.
Naturgy pointed out that the score awarded by Ecovadis recognises advanced performance in sustainability, “but without losing sight of the proactive work for continuous improvement and the implementation of new trends and best practices, in order to continue improving in subsequent evaluations”, reports Europa Press.
The aim of this rating agency is to contribute to the improvement of companies’ social and environmental practices by taking advantage of the influence of global supply chains, carrying out sustainability assessments of suppliers in four main areas: environment, labour practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable purchasing.
Ecovadis is a French organisation that has become a trusted partner of 750 multinational companies to assess the sustainability practices of their suppliers or business partners through a proprietary methodology.
