The Chile-Spain Foundation (FCE) celebrated its 10th Anniversary in Madrid on Thursday 30 June with a commemoration ceremony closed by the Ibero-American Secretary General (SEGIB), Andrés Allamand Zavala, at the Casa de Mónico.
The event was attended by the main groups within the Foundation’s Board of Trustees who have been key to the development of the Foundation during these 10 years in Spain. In appreciation of this vast collaboration, the Chile-Spain Foundation awarded four prizes to institutions whose relationship has played a great role in the development of the Foundation.
The Economy Award of the Chile-Spain Foundation, presented by Rafael Mateo, vice-president of the Chile-Spain Foundation of the Chile-Spain Foundation and CEO of Acciona Energía, was awarded to INVESTCHILE, a public body that promotes Chile as a destination for foreign direct investment in the global market, connecting the interests of the Chilean economy with those of other countries. the global market, connecting the interests of foreign investors with the business opportunities that the country offers. opportunities that the country offers. The Chile-Spain Foundation then awarded the Culture Prize to Casa de América, one of the institutions that most promotes the dissemination of Latin American cultural, social, political and economic activity in Spain. This award was presented by Luis Isasi, President of Banco Santander Spain to Enrique Ojeda, Director of Casa de América and former Ambassador of Spain to Chile (2018-2021).
In third place, the Academic Prize was awarded to the Menéndez Pelayo International University, which stands out for the organisation of its Summer Courses, becoming the pioneering institution in Spain in this field. This prize was awarded by the Rector of the University of Alcalá de Henares, José Vicente Saz to Carlos Andradas, Rector of the Menéndez Pelayo International University.
The Chile-Spain Foundation awarded the Institutional Prize to recognise the work of the Fundación Imagen de Chile, an organisation that has managed Chile’s country brand and promoted the country’s image in the world, increasing its recognition, reputation and preference in the international market, making it a symbol of what Chileans are all about. The prize was awarded by María Ángeles Osorio, Executive Director of the Chile-Spain Foundation to Constanza Cea, Director of Imagen de Chile.
To conclude the award ceremony, the Chile-Spain Foundation made a special acknowledgement to Mr. Sergio Romero Pizarro, awarding him the Prize of Honour for his promotion of the Foundation and his work as Ambassador of Chile in Spain. as Ambassador of Chile in Spain, presented by Enrique Gilolmo, President of the Chile-Spain Foundation. The Chile-Spain Foundation was established on May 25, 2011 in Madrid as an initiative of the then Ambassador of Chile in Spain, H.E.
