As part of the programme Hecho a Mano, Fundación Casa de México presents until the 5th of June an expo-sale/Tienda Nómada (Nomadic Shop) by Huakal, a brand with a social commitment that offers modern handicrafts while preserving traditional techniques.
Hecho a Mano seeks to support the work and promotion of the talent and culture of artisans from the different regions of Mexico. This programme allows for the exchange of specialised knowledge through exhibitions, sales, conferences, courses and workshops that bring people closer to Popular Art. The public at Casa de México will be able to purchase selected and unique pieces made, for example, from clay or looms, among a wide variety of other materials and techniques. They will also be able to come into contact with Mexican craftsmanship through the master creators responsible for these pieces and a series of family collectives, institutions and individuals who have contributed to preserving and promoting its intangible cultural heritage.
This expo-sale is complemented by an annual programme of activities: a multitude of workshops, courses and conferences that allow artists from Mexico and Spain to share their knowledge, skills and experiences directly with our visitors.
