With the objective of recognizing and stimulating those students of Dominican nationality or origin who have stood out for their high grades and good behaviour, the Embassy of the Dominican Republic announces the twelfth edition of the School Merit Award.
The School Merit Award is an award that the Embassy has granted since 2005, recognising promising children and young people of its diaspora and also promoting their integration into Spanish educational institutions and society as a whole, while strengthening ties with their country of origin. The jury that will select the ten winners is made up of prominent members of the Dominican community in Spain and professionals in the academic field.
The award consists of a trip to the Dominican Republic to visit the most important and emblematic institutions and places of Santo Domingo, as well as institutions and public officials of high relevance. The rules of the XII Merit Award are available on the Embassy’s website. The call will be open until 15 June 2022.
