Ricardo Alfonsín, Ambassador of Argentina, presented last Thursday in the gardens of his residence the Argentine-Spanish Association of Entrepreneurs, Managers and Businessmen ASAEDE.
This group is an association of Argentinean entrepreneurs, managers and businessmen in Spain, who want to develop their companies or projects, meet strategic partners through networking, share knowledge and identify new opportunities.
At the presentation ceremony, Ambassador Ricardo Alfonsín thanked the work carried out by ASAEDE, which “facilitates, he said, the work of Argentine companies, which carries out a complementary task with the Embassy, in a public and private effort, is able to give the results we are seeing and we see how more and more Argentine companies are internationalising in Spain”.
The Undersecretary of Knowledge Economy of the Ministry of Productive Development of the Argentinean Government, María Apólito, was also present and highlighted the role of ASAEDE as “ambassadors of our culture, of our talent, of all our potential in the world”. The undersecretary commented on the excellent work that has been carried out in Argentina in the face of vaccination against COVID, “allocating 6.5% of GDP to assistance for production and work in times of pandemic, which has allowed many Argentinean SMEs not to disappear. GDP grew by 10.7 per cent. This is not a post-pandemic rebound, because in terms of countries that have grown after the pandemic, Argentina is the fifth country. We have an unemployment level of 7%, a level not recorded for a decade and with exports at the same level as in 2016.”
Gonzalo Szybut Galarza, director of ASAEDE, spoke on behalf of the association and commented on its five years of life and its beginnings in Barcelona, where the largest community of Argentines in Spain resides. He referred to the role of those “locos lindos”, those people for whom nothing is impossible, and who were the seed of ASAEDE.
