The Fundación Scherzo presents the second concert of the 20th Ciclo de Jóvenes Intérpretes on Sunday 29 April in the Chamber Hall of the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, at 19.30, to be given by the pianist Juan Barahona (in the photo).
Barahona will perform in the cycle with a reflective and sincere programme, largely featuring Schubert’s Impromptus as a hinge between the First Vienna School and the more exacerbated romanticism of Liszt. In the words of the performer: “I am bringing a personal programme to the Ciclo de Jóvenes Intérpretes de la Fundación Scherzo, which I have enjoyed putting together and which I can say shows who Juan Barahona is today. It is music with which one can establish a direct, close, seductive, sincere link…”. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
