The Council of Ministers yesterday approved the National Cybersecurity Plan, endowed with a budget of more than 1 billion euros and framed within the National Plan of Response to the Economic and Social Consequences of the War in Ukraine, also approved this Tuesday.
The Plan, which fulfills the mandate issued by the National Security Council and develops the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2019, is coordinated by the Department of National Security of the Presidency of the Government and provides for nearly 150 initiatives, including actions and projects, for the next three years.
With this agreement and the Royal Decree-Law on security in 5G communications, also approved yesterday, “the Government reinforces cybersecurity, within the framework of the National Plan of Response to the Economic and Social Consequences of the War in Ukraine, in order to intensify vigilance and shore up planning, preparation, detection and response capabilities in cyberspace,” the Ministry of the Presidency reported in a press release.
