The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, and his Iranian counterpart, Hosein Amirabdolahian, met yesterday in Munich, where they coincided at the Security Conference.
According to Albares on his Twitter account, they discussed bilateral relations and the regional situation, and also recalled Spain’s donation of two million vaccines to Afghan refugees in Iran.
The Spanish minister took advantage of his presence at the Security Conference to maintain bilateral contacts with colleagues from several countries. He spoke with the Bulgarian Foreign Minister, Teodora Genchovska, about the security situation in Europe, the forthcoming NATO summit in Madrid, and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
He also met with his Macedonian counterpart, Bujar Osmani, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and to whom he expressed his support for the process of integration of that country into the European Union.
