As part of its first international tour of Spain, the Swiss Orchestra will perform for the first time as Switzerland’s ambassador abroad on Monday 31 January at 7.30 p.m. at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.
The diversity of Swiss symphonic music from the late 18th to the early 20th century is unknown even to the most loyal concert hall fans. The Swiss Orchestra, founded in 2018, has set itself the goal of making this forgotten musical legacy known to a wide audience. The orchestra, which performs throughout Switzerland, is made up of young musicians and promotes national cultural exchange through its work. Together with its artistic director Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer and violinist Alina Pogostkina, the Swiss Orchestra will perform the following works: Tree Conversations by H. Winkelmann, Violin Concerto No. 4 by W.A. Mozart and Symphony No. 7 by L. van Beethoven. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
