This January will be a great forum for authors and writers from different fields in Casa Mediterráneo’s cultural programme.
In the series Historias del Mediterráneo, Pere Cardona (pictured), author of Osos, átomos y espías: historias sorprendentes de la Guerra Fría (Bears, Atoms and Spies: Surprising Stories of the Cold War), will give a conference on The Cold War in the Mediterranean on 14th January. That same week, the writer Carmen J. Nieto will talk about the production of noir literature in the series Women Writers of the Mediterranean. Continuing with literature, other activities will include the former mayor of Valencia from 1979-1989, Ricard Pérez Casado, who will present his work Desigualdades mediterráneas, reto del siglo XXI (Mediterranean Inequalities, the Challenge of the 21st Century) on 27 January.
To reflect with the public on Women and Science in the Mediterranean and to tell the female vision of the other shore, Ahlem Amina Taleb Bendiab, lecturer in the Faculty of Nature and Life Sciences at the University of Oran, will take part to reflect with the public on Women and Science in the Mediterranean and to tell the female vision of the other shore.
Likewise, and as part of the Geostrategy and the Mediterranean programme, on 31 January there will be a talk given by Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Mariano Pérez, Head of the III BIEM of the UME, who will talk about The UME: an example for Euro-Mediterranean countries and will highlight the recognition and work they carry out in different situations throughout the country.
