The Ambassador of Moldova to Spain, Violeta Agrici, received the Commemorative Medal of the 1300th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Don Pelayo during the farewell ceremony organised by the Royal Corps of the Nobility of the Principality of Asturias on 17 December. Agrici will be leaving his post shortly, after more than four years at the head of the Moldovan Mission in Spain.

In her words of thanks, the Ambassador pointed out the strong historical and economic ties between Chisinau and Madrid.

At the same event, NATO’s Public Affairs Coordinator, Iciar Ormaechea, received the Conde de Latores Award for Social Work 2020, which the Royal Corps of Nobility awarded to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. For his part, the Magistral Councillor of the Corporation, Francisco de Borbón, Duke of Seville, presented Iciar Ormaechea with the Bicentenary Commemorative Medal of the Cross of Distinction of the Army of Asturias.

The ceremony was attended, among other personalities, by numerous ambassadors such as those of Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Malaysia, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
