Next Thursday at 17.15, Casa América, together with the Office of the European Parliament in Spain and the Fundación Euroamerica, will jointly hold, with the support of the European Commission and Casa de América, the 12th International EU-Latin America Seminar entitled Contexto actual y perspectivas de futuro del escenario Unión Europea-América Latina (Current context and future prospects of the European Union-Latin America scenario).
Experts from both sides of the Atlantic will address relations between the two regions from the perspectives of economic and social recovery, the new European cooperation policy with the region, the role of women in the transformation of countries and digitalisation as a driver of change.
The event will be opened by María Andrés, Director of the European Parliament Office in Spain, and Ramón Jáuregui, President of the Fundación Euroamerica, with a special intervention by Alicia Bárcena (pictured), Executive Secretary of ECLAC (online). Two sessions will be held: The new EU-Latin America cooperation policy in the new global context. Women, key to Latin America’s recovery, and Digitalisation: Europe’s great commitment as an engine for change. Euro-Latin American Digital Cooperation Space.
