Jordanian diplomat Malek Twal has been appointed as the new head of the League of Arab States Office in Spain, replacing Bachar Khalil Yaghi, who held the post since January 2017.
Malek Twal is a veteran diplomat who has held various positions in Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, most recently as director for Asia and Oceania.
The new head of the Arab League in Madrid, who has already taken up his post, has been Jordan’s ambassador to Brazil and has been posted in Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Belgium.
