The Diplomat
Carlos Midence, Ambassador of Nicaragua, has presented to the President of the Republic of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, his credentials as Ambassador-at-Large, a post he will occupy simultaneously with his post in Spain.
Ambassador Midence handed over the documents enabling him to promote and strengthen relations with this country. After the protocolary act, the Greek President emphasised that, “despite the current times, in which nations are immersed in situations such as climate change, the Covid-19 pandemic and geopolitical movements, the fundamental thing is to strengthen solidarity and multilateralism as essential tools to build peace and ensure a better, fairer and more egalitarian world”. Katerina Sakellaropoulou also welcomed the diplomatic function that “contributes to deepening the bonds of collaboration in all possible areas between peoples”.
For his part, the Nicaraguan ambassador conveyed the greetings of his government and the Nicaraguan people. President Sakellaropoulou reaffirmed to the Central American representative “her willingness to promote relations between the two countries with greater emphasis”.
