On 17 December, at 10.30 p.m., a benefit concert will be held at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid, which is organising this extraordinary event in which Beethoven’s famous Ninth Symphony, an immortal work that culminates in a Hymn to Joy, will be performed to transmit affection, hope and confidence. The aim is to fill the Auditorium for La Palma.
In addition to the Orchestra, conducted by Juanjo Mena, the concert will also feature the Coro Intermezzo (Orquesta y Coro Titulares del Teatro Real), the singers Raquel Lojendio, soprano; Nancy Fabiola Herrera, mezzo-soprano; Juan Antonio Sanabria, tenor, and José Antonio López, baritone, all of whom will be participating in an unselfish capacity. All the proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Cabildo Insular and, in addition, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid will add a donation of 5 euros for each ticket sold. Tickets for this exceptional concert are already on sale with prices ranging from 25 to 60 euros depending on the chosen area of the Auditorium. A Fila Cero has also been set up for donations:
