This evening at 8 p.m., as part of the LesGaiCineMad Festival, the Instituto Francés of Madrid is screening the film Moneyboys, directed and written by C.B. Yi and starring Kai Ko, Bai Yufan and Lin Zhengxi.
Fei makes a living in the big city working as a prostitute. His world collapses when he realises that his family accepts his money but not his way of life or his homosexuality. Heartbroken, Fei struggles to start a new life. The director, C.B. Yi, is Austrian-Taiwanese, whose major influences are Chinese horror, the surrealism of Buñuel and the sensibility of Wong Kar Wai. With this, his first film, he participated in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
