Organised by Madrid Foro Empresarial, and through its Embassy in Spain and its Consul General in Barcelona, the Nicaraguan Government participated in a Country Promotion Meeting, with the aim of publicising what it considers “optimal conditions” for investing and doing business in Nicaragua.
The meeting was attended by businessmen and representatives of firms and corporations who showed interest in the opportunities offered by Nicaragua in sectors such as tourism, agro-industry, creative economy, service and trade. Among the participants were: CEIM, Ibercaja, Invest in Madrid, Mujeres para el Diálogo y la Educación, Diaphanum, Global News Comunicación, 50PRO and Beatriz Parreño La Tienda del Te, among others.
The Nicaraguan ambassador, Carlos Midence, gave a presentation on the facilities for investment and essential elements such as legal and citizen security, economic growth, trade agreements and the agility in the procedures for setting up a company. The businessmen expressed their satisfaction with the information, the security indexes and the variety of sectors in which to invest. In this sense, they expressed their intention to promote a trade mission to Nicaragua as soon as possible, according to the Embassy.
