The book El Jardín Pandémico, by Benjamín Fernández Bogado, will be presented next Thursday at 5 p.m. in the OEI Auditorium (Calle Bravo Murillo 38).
The coronavirus forced us to look at ourselves individually and collectively in a deeper way, not because of an epiphany, but because there was no more time than for that due to the confinement we were living in. There was no time for distractions, only for moments of introspection and pointing out faults, blame and compromises. It weakened the essence of the cynics, exposed the viscera of corruption and allowed us to assume that the old normal could not last forever. At the presentation ceremony, the Director General for Culture of the IEO, Natalia Armijos, will give a welcome address, and in addition to the author, David Jiménez, journalist and writer; Nadia Czeraniuk, Rector of the Autonomous University of Encarnación (Paraguay) and Vicente Fernández, Editorial Libre, will also take part. There will be an artistic performance by the singer Lizza Bogado. Limited capacity. Reservations essential: confirmaciones@embajadadelparaguay.com.
