Tomorrow Tuesday at 1 p.m., the Círculo de Bellas Artes will host a continuous reading of the Divine Comedy, an event organised as part of the Madrid città/ciudad dantesca programme to commemorate the 7th centenary of the death of Dante Alighieri.
Organised by the CBA in collaboration with the Instituto Italiano de Cultura of Madrid, under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in Madrid, this event will be attended by personalities from the world of culture, politics and the general public (who can still apply to take part in the reading by sending an e-mail to: lectura.dante@circulobellasartes.com). On this occasion, the President of the Congress of Deputies, Meritxell Batet; the First Vice-President of the Government and Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño; Yolanda Díaz, Second Vice-President of the Government and Minister of Labour and Social Economy; Pilar Alegría, Minister of Education and Vocational Training, and Miquel Iceta, Minister of Culture and Sport, as well as the Ambassador of Italy, Riccardo Guariglia, and the Ambassadors of Portugal and Switzerland, will take part in the event. In the cultural section, the architect and president of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, Juan Miguel Hernández León; the director of the entity, Valerio Rocco; the director of the Instituto Italiano de Cultura of Madrid, Marialuisa Pappalardo, the writer and comedian, Ignatius Farray, and many other Spanish and Italian institutional entities of the city will participate.
