Distributed in Spain by Vértigo Films and coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Worth, directed by Sara Colangelo and starring Michael Keaton, Stanley Tucci and Amy Ryan, among others, arrives in cinemas as an important reflection.
Through a true story (that of the lawyer Kenneth Feinberg, played by Michael Keaton), the film narrates with pulse the complex path followed by hundreds of relatives of the victims of that event. The film is a moving tribute to the struggle of the victims of the 9/11 attacks. In the aftermath of the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Congress appoints attorney Kenneth Feinberg (Michael Keaton) to head the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund. But how can he put a value on the lives lost? Caught between lawyers who want to sue and airline lobbyists who want to settle, Feinberg must negotiate with the victims’ families. When confronted by Charles Wolf (Stanley Tucci), a community organiser among those affected and whose wife died in one of the towers, Feinberg begins to learn the human cost of the tragedy.
