The Team Resolute consortium, in which Navantia participates together with the UK companies Harland & Wolff and BMT, is one of the four that has moved on to the next phase of the Fleet Solid Support (FSS) tender to design and build three supply vessels for the Royal Navy, the Spanish shipping company informed.
The UK Ministry of Defence has launched the second phase of the tender, the Competitive Procurement Phase (CPP). To this end, the Department of Defence Equipment and Support will sign a design contract with each of the bidding consortia, each with an initial value of around £5 million (5.8 million euros).
The design contracts announced by the Ministry will allow the bidders to develop their proposals to meet the requirements of the programme, which will be evaluated and lead to the award of the contract.
