The Diplomat
The members of the 73rd graduating class of the Diplomatic Career were received yesterday at the Palacio de Santa Cruz by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares.
Albares welcomed the 34 members of the graduating class, which, for the first time in the history of the career, is completely equal, as it is made up of 17 men and 17 women, three of whom occupied the top positions.
The minister encouraged everyone to “work hard in the service of the Spanish people” and, on his Twitter account, congratulated him, stressing that, as well as being equal, the graduating class represents the geographical diversity of Spain.
The welcome ceremony was also attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Luis Cuesta, and the Director of the Diplomatic School, Alberto Antón.
