The Health Ministry yesterday did not extend the order establishing a mandatory ten-day COVID-19 quarantine for travellers from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Namibia and South Africa.
The order was imposed in July due to the “unfavourable epidemiological situation”, was extended for two weeks on 7 August and was due to expire yesterday.
With this provision no longer in force, Spanish borders are now open to people coming from anywhere in the world. In other words, Spain becomes a quarantine-free territory.
