The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, yesterday paid a visit to what, in the coming months, will return to be the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the Plaza del Marqués de Salamanca, once the remodelling work has been completed.
Albares pointed out on his Twitter account that it will be “a headquarters for the 21st century: efficient, sustainable and respectful of Heritage”. He also highlighted that, for the first time, the Ministry’s headquarters will have a nursery to facilitate the work-life balance of its employees.
The Minister thanked TRAGSA, the company that has carried out the works, and the Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales for the project, “with which we are pursuing,” he said, “the good management of public resources and improving service to citizens”.
The intention is that in November, work can already be underway in the renovated headquarters. Recently, the Ministry awarded the contract to carry out the inventory and the move from the different headquarters it currently occupies to the Plaza del Marqués de Salamanca for around 90,000 euros.
