The 67th edition of the Festival Internacional de Teatro Clásico de Mérida continues to illustrate and enliven the summers with a quality programme.
This August, from 29 July to 1 August and from 3 to 8 August, it presents the play Golfus de Roma, with Carlos Latre in the title role, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and libretto by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart. From 11th to 15th August comes Oedipus, by Paco Bezerra and performed by Alejo Sauras. And to finish the programme, from 18 to 22 August the festival presents the play Las suplicantes, with Carolina Rocha, in a free version by Silvia Zarco based on the works of the same name by Aeschylus and Euripides.
