Tomorrow Thursday 22nd at 8pm, the Auditorium of the Fundación Carlos de Amberes will host the theatrical performance Cervantes, echoes of the soul, a monologue performed by Carlos Ceña that delves into the human character of Miguel de Cervantes.
On the night of his death, Cervantes, with a thread of life, wonders, with irony and bitterness, why his theatre does not work. He is confronted with Lope’s success and his memory problems. He reviews his life interrupted by the voices of Sancho, Sansón Carrasco and Aldonza, while he dialogues with his creative lucidity and lets himself be carried away by his imagination. In this way, Cervantes analyses his thoughts and represents a series of stories and adventures of love and imprisonment in which drama and comedy intermingle with the writer’s life. The play is part of the second edition of the Renacen Festival of music and performing arts. More information at this link.
