Author: Carla Fibla.
This evening at 7:00 pm, journalist Carla Fibla will be presenting her latest book, Mi hogar es cualquier parte (My Home is Anywhere), at Casa Árabe in Madrid. Through interviews and conversations, the book invites us to consider whether Spanish society is inclusive towards migrants. Registration is required at this link to attend. Event in Spanish.
What does it mean to have a home? Where is home when someone has to flee? How do we welcome migrants in Spain? In Mi hogar es cualquier parte, Carla Fibla offers an emotional and rigorous approach to what it means to be a migrant in a society in constant flux of enriching people who reconstruct the concepts of belonging and territoriality. A journey through which we get to know the stories they brought with them before arriving in Spain, but which also brings us closer to the projects they hoped to find. Through interviews and conversations, our daily environment is analysed and we are invited to ask ourselves whether Spanish society is integrating and to verify it by getting in touch with the people on the Home Routes carried out by the author.
