The Diplomat
The Ambassador of Poland, Marzenna Adamczyk, and the Ambassador of Luxembourg, Michèle Pranchère-Tomassini, were decorated on July 6th by the Corps of the Nobility of the Principality of Asturias with the Commemorative Medal of the 1,300th Anniversary of the Proclamation of D. Pelayo, during a farewell lunch in their honour.
The Councillor for Institutional Relations of the Asturian Corporation, Alfredo Leonard, highlighted the invaluable help and collaboration of the ambassadors towards the Asturian nobility and that for this reason the Council of Nobles, at the proposal of the Duke of Seville, had seen fit to grant them the distinction.
In a wonderful speech in Spanish, Ambassador Michèle Pranchère-Tomassini addressed the audience, thanking the members of the Corps de la Noblesse for the affection that they have always felt for her during her term of office.
The event was attended, among other personalities, by the ambassadors of Romania, Serbia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus and Hungary, the ambassador of Bulgaria, together with various representatives of the General Secretariat of the OISS and the legations of the embassies of the Czech Republic, Morocco and Belgium.
