As part of the Festival de Cannes cycle, the Instituto Francés of Madrid is screening tonight at 22:00 the Italian-French comedy La gran comilona, directed in 1973 by Marco Ferreri and starring Marcello Mastroianni, Ugo Tognazzi, Philippe Noiret and Michel Piccoli.
Four friends united by hedonism and absolute boredom meet in a mansion with the idea of committing suicide by eating relentlessly. Soon they add to gluttony another capital sin: lust, and so the prostitutes begin to arrive. Obscene sex intermingles with pigs, cheeses, hams, caviar… In case of adverse weather conditions, the film will be broadcast at the Théâtre de l’Institut Français.
