From 6 July to 29 August, the city of Madrid brings back its Veranos de la Villa, the best national and international cultural offer, which will bring together artists and creators to share their most recent works with the public.
Music, performing arts, circus, exhibitions and gastronomy are some of the cultural proposals on the programme, which connect cultural heritage and traditions, from the Golden Age to the new electronic sonorities. The festival will be inaugurated by the Lisbon-born singer Salvador Sobral, winner of Eurovision in 2017, who on 6 July will bring the melodic rhythms of Portuguese jazz to the central courtyard of the Centro Cultural Conde Duque, present in his new album, entirely composed by him. And almost immediately afterwards, from 7 to 9 July, at the Palacio de Fernán Núñez, fashion will be presented by 35 designers in a fashion show paying tribute to the influence of Cristóbal Balenciaga in their designs, in collaboration with the Fundación de Ferrocarriles Españoles and TELVA. All the festival’s cultural proposals can be consulted on the official website.
