In collaboration with Hybrid Art Fair, the Economic and Cultural Office of Taipei in Spain, presents from 28 to 30 May at the new headquarters of the Hotel Riu, Plaza de España, the solo exhibition Echo and Me, a collection of 31 works of different types of painting and ceramics by the Taiwanese artist living in Spain Ming Yi Chou.
The exhibition is meant to be a praise of nature and a personal response to the history and events experienced in these overwhelming times due to the pandemic crisis. In this exhibition, Ming Yi Chou brings together works from his most recent work in which he has expressed his particular praise of nature, addressing perspectives, playing with the opposition of colours and shapes and the materials used, including silkscreen, acrylic paint, oil paint, oily markers, watercolours and ceramics, which, approached from the perspective of colour, will be presented under the philosophy of “Tao” (meaning), which in the oriental tradition defines white as the complement and opposition to black. Being both change and movement, complementing each other and based on each other. You can see the video of the promotion of the exhibition in this link.
