Oh Jihoon, director of the Centro Cultural Coreano and First Secretary of the Korean Embassy in Spain visited yesterday the facilities of the Local Assembly of Madrid West zone of the Cruz Roja Española, strengthening its relations with this institution through a donation, and with the firm desire to help and bring Korean culture closer to the most vulnerable people and this organization.
The director of the Centro Cultural Coreano was received by Dolores Casteleiro, president of the Spanish Red Cross; Nieves Morales, regional coordinator; Pedro Martinez, coordinator of the Youth section, and Caritina Morales, coordinator of the Madrid West zone of the Cruz Roja Española.
During the visit, they toured the facilities of the Assembly of Madrid West zone, where they were able to see how it works and witnessed the workshop on job opportunities for young people that was being taught.
Oh Jihoon pointed out the magnificent work and work of the Cruz Roja Española and the importance of solidarity, especially in these times we live in, and added that “from our Centre we are committed to supporting the work of the Red Cross by doing our bit to protect the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people”.
The Centro Cultural Coreano, which celebrates 10 years since its opening on 3 June 2011, wanted to give away tickets for its anniversary event, a recital by soprano Hera Hyesang Park at the Auditorio Nacional, as well as Korean folk painting looms and Korean cultural learning and play sets for children.
