On the occasion of the celebration of the blessed Eid Al Fitr, next Thursday 13th May at 11:30 am at Calle Arenal de Maudes, 6, the international Asociación internacional Alrokom Alarabe in Madrid is organising an Eid party for all Arab expatriates in Spain and is opening its doors to welcome families on the first day of Eid al Fitr.
Eid al-Fitr or Feast of the End of Fasting is a religious holiday in the Islamic tradition. It signifies the celebration of the end of Ramadan and covers the first three days of Shawwal. The night before the first day of this festival is also considered particularly auspicious. Early in the morning, the community as a whole performs various prayers and holds a breakfast to mark the end of the fasting of the most important month in the Islamic world. At this event, held at the invitation of Mrs. Rabia ben Ahmed (pictured in the foreground), attendees will be entitled to draw a raffle ticket for a trip to Umrah and another trip within Spain. The raffle will be accompanied by an exhibition of paintings and jewellery.
