As part of Madrid Ciudad Dantesca, until 11 June the Italian Embassy and the Instituto Italiano de Cultura in Madrid present the photographic exhibition Dante 700 | A portrait of Dante and the poet’s places in Massimo Sestini’s photographs.

A photographic history in 20 images by Massimo Sestini, internationally renowned photojournalist, known for his ability to capture reality with an unprecedented gaze and with experimental and unconventional photographic techniques. From Florence, Dante’s birthplace, to Ravenna, where his remains are preserved, via the source of the Arno on Monte Falterona. But also Venice, Rome, Verona and Poppi, to discover the extent to which the poet’s face continues to accompany our lives. The exhibition is produced in collaboration with the Municipality of Florence, the Musei Civici Fiorentini, with the support of the Ministero della Cultura (Italian Ministry of Culture) and the Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation).
