The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha González Laya, plans to celebrate the Iftar dinner next Thursday 29th, together with her Tunisian colleague, Othhman Jerandi, with which Muslims break their fasting throughout the day during Ramadan.
The Iftar will take place at the Viana Palace, the minister’s residence and the venue where official lunches and dinners with foreign visitors are held.
The dinner, which will be attended by members of the Spanish and Tunisian delegations, will take place at 10 p.m., once the sun has set, and, if Muslim tradition is followed, will open with dates and continue with a variety of halal food dishes, according to the Islamic laws described in the Qur’an.
Before attending the Iftar, together with the Minister, Othhman Jerandi, he is due to go to the Zarzuela Palace, where he will be received by His Majesty the King.
