By promoting the virtual exhibition Trash Exhibition, the Instituto Italiano de Cultura celebrates World Earth Day tomorrow 22 April. Based on the Italian animated film Trash, winner of the Audience Award at the 13th edition of the Italian Film Festival in Madrid, the theme of environmental sustainability is presented in a creative and innovative way.
The exhibition combines the celebration of Italian know-how in the field of film production and digital animation with the promotion of the themes of environmental protection and the recycling and reuse of waste material, with a creative and dynamic approach appreciated mainly by the younger audience. The virtual exhibition is divided into several sections or “virtual rooms” that visitors can visit by connecting to the exhibition website, where they can admire more than 200 works, including drawings, scripts and a selection of videos. The digital experience is completed by the video game “TRASH and the Magic Pyramid”, available for download on iOS and Android devices, which is available in Italian and English and can be visited on this website. To access it, it is necessary to obtain a “digital access ticket”, which can be requested free of charge until 22 April by writing to iicmadrid@esteri.it.
