Tomorrow at 7.30 p.m., Casa Árabe will continue its series Great Names for New Times with the screening of the film Nasser 56, inspired by the Egyptian leader Gamal Abdel Nasser. Tickets are numbered. Screening in the original version with Spanish subtitles (VOSE).
This fictional film, directed in 1996 by Mohammad Fadel, recreates the first years of the Egyptian leader’s presidency, focusing on his most important political action, the nationalisation of the Suez Canal in 1956. The film faithfully captures Nasser’s speeches and work habits and portrays his relations with his collaborators and family.
