The conspiracy of the PSOE with Ciudadanos in Murcia by putting a motion of censure to the president of that community, López Miras of the PP, and that of the PSOE with Ciudadanos and Podemos, to make another one to José Ballesta, mayor of Murcia also of the PP, has been the setting in motion of a story foretold.
Behind all this there is a “white elephant” whose name is known, Inés Arrimadas, who at first has kept silent but hours later has acknowledged having given her authorization to this political coup. Faced with this fact and in order to avoid another possible “coup” in the Community of Madrid, the PP has adopted the only reasonable alternative: to call elections in the community, scheduled for next May 4. After the disloyalty, betrayal or political move of Ciudadanos, it is clear that the PP had to respond, or else say goodbye to politics for good.
Faced with these upcoming elections, the citizens of Madrid are faced with the dilemma of voting for a future government of PP and Vox or for the alternative option which is, as foreseen in Murcia, a coalition government PSOE, Ciudadanos and Podemos. What should the citizens of Madrid who do not want this alternative do? Vote for the PP or VOX. But there is the problem of the possible effect of vote splitting, unless PP and Vox opt for a Madrid Suma. Unfortunately this option does not seem very feasible with the current PP, led by Casado and García Egea. If Ayuso and Almeida were at the head of the PP, this Suma option would be more likely to prosper.
It is obvious that Ayuso and Almeida did not have the gallantry, under pressure from Ciudadanos, to have given VOX a place when the governments of the Community and the Mayor’s Office of Madrid were formed, but the scenario has totally changed. It is obvious that the post-electoral PP-VOX coalition will be essential to give the Community of Madrid a government of progress and to defend the current economic fabric of Madrid, with the necessary aid, so that it may first subsist and then resurge in the face of the pandemic.
Between VOX and PP there are many similarities in the economic proposals. But there is a greater distance in the political aspect, so when voting, it is necessary to take into account that the results in Madrid will indicate what the citizens prefer to be done regarding these four points: Unity of Spain, Historical Memory, Autonomic Harmonization and Immigration.
