The mayor of Dhaka, Atiqul Islam, has expressed to the Spanish ambassador in Bangladesh, Francisco de Asís Benítex Salas, the desire of the municipal corporation to import high quality pesticides from our country, to combat the plague of mosquitoes that the Bengali capital suffers.
This was revealed in the Bangladeshi media, which reported that, during a visit a week ago by the ambassador to the mayor, the latter asked him for help in importing larvicide and adulticide from the Spanish pharmaceutical company Zotal Laboratorios.
The ambassador pledged his support for the initiative and, in fact, representatives of the Dhaka authorities and the Spanish company will meet by videoconference on the 30th to discuss the possibilities of importing Deltamethrin 2% ulv, a pesticide that covers 70% of the anti-mosquito campaign in Spain.
