In anticipation of the Glasgow Climate Summit (COP26), to be held between 1 and 12 November 2021, the Embassy of Italy, together with the Spanish Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, the British Embassy and the Real Instituto Elcano, is organising a special virtual event next Monday from 10 am, dedicated to the role of governments, civil society, businesses and cities.
In what is hoped to be a year of recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for the international community to address the climate crisis with greater ambition in terms of the goals to be achieved is even more relevant than before, if possible. Roberto Cingolani, Italian Minister for the Environment and the Protection of the Territory and the Sea, and Giuseppe Sala, Mayor of Milan, will be among the speakers. The Youth4Climate: driving ambition event, dedicated to young people, and Pre-COP26, a crucial stage in the international negotiations, will be held in Milan between the end of September and the beginning of October. Simultaneous translation will be provided in English and Spanish. Those interested in attending the event can register and get more information by clicking on this link.
