Spain has already paid to the UN the contribution corresponding to the 2021 regular budget, which amounts to just over 62 million dollars, as reported by the organization itself.

The contribution was made on March 9, earlier than in previous years, since in 2020, it paid its contribution on March 10, and in 2019 it did not do so until April 9.

In this way, Spain becomes one of the 41 countries that have already paid their contribution, among which are most of the European countries – although not France, the United Kingdom or Italy – as well as some Asian countries, including India, and Cuba, the only Ibero-American country.

Spain is currently the eleventh largest contributor to the UN regular budget.
