Técnicas Reunidas has recently signed a contract with Sasa Polyester to build a new purified terephthalic acid (PTA) production plant in Adana, Turkey, with an investment of 935 million dollars (770 million euros).
The project includes engineering, supply of equipment and materials, and construction supervision. Once the works are completed, the plant will have a production capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, the company said in a statement.
“Técnicas Reunidas is in a privileged position to undertake this project because of our technical capacity and extensive track record in the petrochemicals field, and our interest in being able to play an important role in the growth of this industry in Turkey,” said Técnicas Reunidas president Juan Lladó.
The company has carried out 14 projects in Turkey with companies such as Tupras, Socar, Ipras and Botas and this new contract guarantees its continuity in that country, in cooperation with its Turkish partners, to collaborate with the investment plans to be developed in Turkey in the future.
