Tomorrow at 5 p.m., as part of the series Latin America after Covid19: The challenge of sustainable reconstruction, which Casa de América is organising with Telefónica, there will be an analysis of the steps to be taken to ratify the EU-MERCOSUR agreement.
The invited experts will reflect on the measures that will collaborate positively and directly in the economic reactivation and investment security of the countries involved in the agreement. Speakers will include Rebeca Guinea, Director of Programming at Casa de América; Susana Malcorra, former Foreign Minister of Argentina, who will speak on The strategic importance of the EU-MERCOSUR Association Agreement for both trading partners, and Ramón Jáuregui, President of the Fundación Euroamerica, who will speak on The opportunity that the EU must not miss, after more than 20 years of negotiations. This will be followed by a round table discussion with the participation of Jordi Cañas, MEP, rapporteur for the ratification of the EU-MERCOSUR Agreement in the European Parliament; Xiana Méndez Bértolo, Secretary of State for Trade, and Érika Rodríguez Pinzón, Coordinator for Latin America at the Foreign Policy Observatory of the Fundación Alternativas.
