The Diplomat
The Brazilian Embassy in Madrid has closed its doors after an outbreak of COVID-19 was detected last week, Brazilian media reported.
The outbreak reportedly originated after a farewell party for a diplomat moving to another post took place at the residence of the ambassador, Pompeu Andreuci.
According to reports, the party was attended by about thirty people, including one of the members of the Embassy who was infected by the coronavirus, but only reported it a day after the farewell party was held.
In view of this situation, the ambassador decided to close the diplomatic representation on the 25th and that all the workers who had attended the reception would work from their homes until the end of the quarantine period.
