Siemens Gamesa has received an order, through one of its subsidiaries, to supply wind turbines to an Engie wind farm located in the northeastern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte, with a total capacity of 434 megawatts (MW).
As the company informed in a statement sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the order comprises the manufacture, transport, assembly, commissioning and testing of 70 SG 5.8-170 wind turbines. The company expects the project to be commissioned in 2023.
This project is in addition to the Brazilian order that the company announced a month ago for the supply of wind turbines to Patria for a wind farm in the Brazilian state of Bahia, with a total capacity of 465 MW.
