On the occasion of the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation and the Centro Sefarad-Israel, in collaboration with the Holocaust and the United Nations Outreach Programme, are organising an online concert by the Garaiz Ensemble, which will offer compositions by Ilse Weber, Mieczysław Weinberg and Gideon Klein.

David Salinas, on clarinet, and Duncan Gifford, on piano, both members of the Garaiz Ensemble, will be responsible for performing a musical programme especially linked to the memory of the Shoah. Compositions by the pianist Gideon Klein, who passed through the Theresienstadt camp, will be heard, as well as by the composer of Jewish-Polish origin Mieczysław Weinberg and the Jewish composer and writer Ilse Weber, who was murdered in the Auschwitz camp. The concert can be followed on Centro Sefarad-Israel’s YouTube channel.
