Next Thursday, March 19 at 8 p.m. and as part of the second edition of the piano cycle Résonance, the Instituto Francés of Madrid presents pianists David Bismuth and Maxime Zecchini, who will present A Spanish Dream… Quand la musique française rêve d’Espagne / A Spanish dream… When French music dreams of Spain, a four-handed dialogue, punctuated by two solo moments, in which the piano becomes successively guitar, orchestra and inner voice, to celebrate the Spain that has inspired the greatest. Tickets can be purchased here.
The piano cycle Résonance takes place between January and May this year, bringing together five artists from the contemporary French music scene who, through their proposals, offer a musical experience as original as it is complementary.
Spain has always had a special fascination with French composers, fueling their imagination with distant colors, rhythms and aromas. This program proposes a dreamlike journey through that fantasized, sometimes sensual, sometimes extravagant Spain, where dance and nostalgia intertwine closely.
The concert program includes works by Grabriel Fauré, Enrique Granados, Mélanie Bonis, Isaac Albéniz, Claude Debussy, Manuel Ponce, Maurice Ravel and Manuel de Falla.
Named by the magazine Pianiste as one of the ten most talented French pianists of his generation, David Bismuth is acclaimed by critics for his luminous and profound interpretation, which combines mastery of architecture and the poetry of timbre.
Winner of numerous international competitions, Maxime Zecchini is today one of the most unique and recognized figures in French piano.
