The Embassy of Ecuador presents next Thursday, February 5 at 18 hours in the Centro Cultural Ecuatoriano (calle General Oraá, 64) the meeting Vivir el Arte (Living the Art), a space for dialogue dedicated to the Ecuadorian artistic creation and the experiences of prominent national artists in Spain. The event will be attended by Beto Valencia (Beto Val), an Ecuadorian visual artist and filmmaker, internationally recognized for his surreal digital collage of vintage aesthetics. His work has been exhibited in several countries and has reached global exposure, including a cover on The New York Times Kids. He is the author of the animated short film El extraño caso del hombre bala, the most awarded in Ecuador. María Gloria Andrade, Ecuadorian-Spanish artist with more than 30 years of career. Based in Spain, develops a work focused on the exploration of matter, color and memory, using various media and recycled materials. Pablo Mora, architect, musician and artist specialized in stained glass, with more than 35 years of experience and more than 1,300 m2 of work. His work integrates space, light and color, and is considered one of the most prominent glaziers in Latin America. Erick Peralvo, art historian, researcher and curator from Ecuador, with experience in publishing, curatorial and cultural management projects in Ecuador and Spain.
