The Spanish box office is screening today the film Turno de guardia (Heldin), directed by Petra Volpe and starring Leonie Benesch (Sala de profesores).

Shift Watch is a realistic and deeply human film that approaches in a close and respectful way the world of nursing through the character of Floria (Leonie Benesch), which we accompany throughout an intense and demanding shift of work in which he faces challenges and critical situations that test his sense of commitment, his humanity and his vocation. Leonie Benesch (Teachers’ Room, September 5) puts herself in the role of this nurse in an extraordinary performance with which she gets her second nomination to the EFA Awards of the European Film Academy as Best Actress of the Year.

Nurse Floria exercises her profession with passion and rigor. Even in the midst of chaos he always listens to his patients and immediately goes to the emergency room… or almost always, because everyday reality is often unpredictable. That day a companion is missing on a full and too patient floor, so as the turn progresses, Floria faces an increasingly desperate fight against time.
