The Instituto Cultural de México (Carrera de San Jerónimo, 46) presents on Monday 19 January at 5 pm the exhibition …Pero sigo siendo el rey (… but I am still the King), in the context of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the singer José Alfredo Jiménez.

The exhibition, which consists of a series of photographs, facsimiles and pieces of clothing that illustrate the life and work of this emblematic Mexican singer-songwriter, is carried out with the support of the Government of the State of Guanajuato and the Casa Museo José Alfredo Jiménez, and is part of the parallel activities of the Mexico Country Partner program of the 2026 edition of the International Tourism Fair in Madrid (FITUR).

José Alfredo Jiménez (1926-1973) was an iconic Mexican singer-songwriter, considered the greatest exponent of ranchera music and the vernacular genre in Mexico.

The capacity is limited. Please confirm to culturaesp@sre.gob.mx.
